Typically it was between the ages of 14 and 18 and never was it by a stranger. It was always someone they knew and thought they could trust. No “man” rapes a woman. Only a spineless piece of trash that deserves to be castrated and killed. According to RAINN, it is 1 out of 6, but there are millions of women (like me) who never properly reported their rapes to the police because of humiliation or fear of the rapist coming back to get them. Also, some police precincts have been known to adjust their numbers to make a place seem safer (especially college campuses.) So it is probably as high as 1 out of 3.   We will never know. Also, I wish I were a superhero who could castrate and kill all rapists. In my opinion as a sociologist, this final estimation is most accurate. Perhaps even slightly higher, even around half of women are raped at some point in their lives. And there is even more to the picture because male molestation is also very under-reported.
